Powerful Connections Made at this Year’s ScanSource Virtual Partner Conference

Like so many events in 2020, ScanSource’s annual Partner Conference looked a little different this year – we went virtual! However, Virtual Partner Conference (VPC) certainly didn’t lack the education, networking opportunities, fun, and thought leadership our partners have come to expect from a ScanSource event. In fact, even though our VPC Main Event and supplier expo took place on October 20, VPC has been a six-month compilation of virtual events, educational series, and PowerHours webinars we have been offering up to our partners since May.


2020 has been a challenging year, and for many businesses, it has come with pivots, adjustments, and changes. It has also presented a lot of opportunity for our partner community, as so many businesses are looking for new ways to collaborate and communicate. This year’s conference theme, “The Power of Connections,” was all about connecting our partners with the right people, the right products, and the right solutions they need to grow their business and keep their customers connected. Our Main Event featured keynotes from several of ScanSource’s top leaders, as well as breakout sessions with some of our biggest supplier partners as they focused in on the biggest opportunities within a few of our key vertical markets – education, warehousing/manufacturing, retail and hospitality, and healthcare. This was all followed up by our virtual supplier expo. And if that’s not enough, for our partners needing a little motivation, we had an exciting presentation from NFL legend and Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Joe Theismann. 


We also talked a lot with our partners about the tools and platforms available to help them in the SaaS marketplace. We highlighted our one-of-a-kind, fully automated CASCADE cloud platform, which enables our partners to build a strong SaaS, recurring-revenue practice through a seamless quote-to-order experience and accelerated time to market. CASCADE simplifies everything about the quoting, ordering, and invoicing processes, and gives partners critical insight into licensing, seat management, usage and a plethora of other in-depth analytics. Many of our partners selling Microsoft and other SaaS solutions have already been able to take advantage of CASCADE. We were excited to recently announce the addition of Cisco to the CASCADE lineup, and we’re looking forward to continuing to roll out additional suppliers on the CASCADE platform.
